This small, rural system is located approximately 50 miles east of Denver along the
I- 70 Corridor. The district is comprised
of one elementary school, a junior high
school, and a high school—all of which
are located on one campus. The district
has a total staff of 72 employees, which
includes 37 regular classroom teachers,
two principals, one guidance counselor,
one financial officer, and other supporting
personnel. More than 500 students attend
school in this district.

The Cherry Creek School District is one
of the Denver area’s largest. The district
educates more than 54,000 children and
serves over 300,000 residents in 108 square
miles that spread across eight municipal-ities: Cherry Hills Village, Centennial,
Foxfield, Glendale, Greenwood Village
and portions of Aurora, Englewood and
Denver. It is located in the southeast
Denver metropolitan area. Cherry Creek
School District students consistently score
well above state averages on the Transitional Colorado Assessment Program
(TCAP) tests and above state and national
averages on SAT and ACT exams. The
district’s schools include: 41 elementary
schools (K- 5), 10 middle schools, 6 high
schools, 1 alternative high school, 1 alternative middle school, one magnet school
and one charter school. The district focuses
