exist in the area, suitable for a variety of
skill levels. Fall is a wonderful time to visit
to hear the elks bugling and see the leaves
turning colors.

There’s plenty of adventure to be found
in the metro Denver area alone, thanks to
the abundance of parks and recreational
facilities dotting the Front Range. In one
of Denver’s 200 city parks go for a walk or
a jog, play tennis, or hold a cookout with
friends. Explore the city’s more than 100
miles of trails at your leisure. Go outside
of town a bit and you can try Saturday
morning yoga at Red Rocks with hundreds
of other people.

Senior community centers can be found in
cities throughout the Denver metro area
offering an array of fun programs. For
example, Broomfield’s senior center offers
fitness classes, game clubs, and drop-in
sessions ranging from woodworking to
needlecraft. The senior center in Parker
has line dancing, computer instruction,
and classes in ceramics, fabric painting,
and other creative arts. Senior centers
throughout the region host classes, talks,
workshops, and more.

Aurora’s Center for Active Adults provides
programs for adults age 50 and up. The
center offers drop-in fitness classes,
billiards, wii games, bingo, and a weekly
quilting bee. A variety of other classes and
activities are offered, including computer
classes, lectures on local history and
culture, and book clubs. The center also
organizes social activities including holiday
parties and day trips throughout the year.
Seniors’ Resource Center is a non-profit
provider of information, services and advocacy for seniors in the Metro Denver area and
surrounding communities. Our programs and
