As the president and CEO of the Denver
Metro Chamber of Commerce I have
the best job—every day I get to talk
about why the Denver metro area is
such a great place to live. And, I can
vouch from experience as a transplant
from Montana that there is no other
place like this to live and work.
This is a healthy, active town. The
Denver metro area is known for being
among the leanest and most fit in the country. With access to
nearby parks and green spaces, a bevy of outdoor activities
to partake in year-round and 300-plus days of sunshine, it’s
not hard to see why our state attracts an active population.
But our sun and wind do more than make the Denver metro area
a great place to be active—they also power our new energy
economy. We’re committed to keeping the pristine nature that
we moved out here for around for generations to com. Our state
is a model for environmental standards that protect the places we
love but let business thrive.
Did you know Colorado is among the most educated states in the
country? We’re book smart and we’re business savvy—
Colorado is among the top five states for entrepreneurial activity
and we’re known as a top place for job seekers.
When the time comes to get a job done, at work or in our
community, we’re not afraid to roll up our sleeves and work
together. Our region is a model for collaboration, and we’ve
done it to better our state and our economy.
And, we’re growing. That means
we’re becoming even more
connected. We have 23 nonstop
international flights out of Denver
International Airport to nine
countries. The 122-mile regional
expansion of our commuter rail
system is linking our entire metro
area, to help people get around
easily for work or for play.
Our health, our green attitude, our smarts, our collaborative
spirit and our focus on continuing to move forward make the
Denver metro area a unique and exciting place to live. Our
Chamber is focused on these same areas because we
believe they all ensure that our economy thrives and that
Colorado continues to be a great place to live and work.
And, we know that we’re in this together. Here in Colorado,
we don’t care what your last name is or where you’re from.
If you want to be a part of this community, we’d be more
than proud to have you, because we know that we’re
